Why Virtual Training
Good Training Doesn't Always Need the Trainer in the Room.
The Guidance Comes to You
No travel, no facility visit. Just a focused session with your dog in the place they actually live.
Virtual training puts the focus where it matters, on helping you understand what to do with your dog when the trainer isn’t standing beside you. We’ll work through the behaviours you’re dealing with, look at what’s happening in your normal environment, and give you clear steps to practise between sessions.
For many owners, home is also where the problems actually happen. Pulling at the front door. Jumping on visitors. Ignoring commands around the house. A puppy that won’t settle. Being able to see that environment can give us useful context that isn’t always available in a training facility.
And because the sessions are online, you don’t need to live in Brisbane to work with Ignition Canine.

Training Troubleshooting
Already working on something but getting stuck? We can look at what you’re doing, identify what isn’t working and help you adjust it.
How It Works
Simple From
Start to Finish.
No complicated setup. A focused one-to-one session, and a clear plan for what happens afterwards.
Step 01
Tell Us What's Going On
Let us know a little about your dog, the behaviours you’re dealing with, and what you’d like to achieve. If you have video of a particular problem, you can also share it so we can see what’s happening outside the session.
- Send video of the behaviour beforehand
- We build the session around your goals, not a fixed syllabus
Step 02
Join Your Virtual Session
Connect from home with your dog nearby. We’ll talk through the issue, watch you work where useful, and guide you through the changes we want you to make.
- 1-2-1, never a group class or pre-recorded course
- Real-time troubleshooting while you work with dog
- Your setup, routines and distractions around you
Step 03
Put It Into Practice
Training happens through repetition, so the work you do after the session is what turns guidance into progress.
- Clear homework, and how to practise it
- What to look for as your dog progresses
Is Virtual Training Right for You?
Sometimes, Online
Just Makes More Sense.
Virtual sessions are a good option if you:
- Live outside Brisbane or our normal service area
- Want help with behaviour happening around the home
- Need professional input on training you've already started
- Can't easily travel for an in-person appointment
- Prefer learning and practising in your own environment
- Want one-to-one help without joining a group class
Frequently Asked Questions
Does virtual dog training actually work?
For many training problems, yes. A big part of successful dog training is teaching the owner how to communicate clearly, structure training and respond consistently. Those things can be coached very effectively online.
What can we work on during a virtual session?
Sessions can cover puppy training, obedience, household manners, lead walking, recall, jumping, overexcitement and general training problems. If you’re unsure whether your particular issue is suitable for virtual training, get in touch first.
Does my dog need to stay in front of the camera?
No. We may want to watch you work with your dog during parts of the session, but your dog doesn’t need to sit in front of the camera for the entire appointment.
Can I send videos before my session?
Yes. Video can be particularly helpful when the behaviour doesn’t happen on cue or is difficult to recreate during the session.
Can you help with puppy training online?
Yes. Puppy training is well suited to virtual coaching because much of the work involves routines, boundaries, handling, communication and what you do consistently at home.
What if my dog needs in-person training?
We’ll tell you. Some dogs or behaviours are better assessed in person. If virtual training isn’t the right fit, we can discuss one-to-one training or another Ignition Canine program instead.
Do I need to live in Brisbane?
No. One of the main advantages of virtual training is that you can work with Ignition Canine without being within our Brisbane service area.
